Iota Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter

On Saturday, June 29, 2002, the following nine sorors were granted the charter for the Iota Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter in the Southeastern Region: Soror Doris Holt, Esq., Soror Stephanie Sumlar, Soror Rochelle Pearson, Soror Barbara Hampton-Franseen, Ph.D., Soror Anna Wilson, Soror Johnnie Donald, Soror Denean Carr, DDS, Soror Kimberly Sumlar Saddler, and Soror Sophia Atkins.
Iota Lambda Sigma is the premier chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, in Germantown, TN. Since its chartering, the members of Iota Lambda Sigma have worked diligently to ensure "Greater Service, Greater Progress" is delivered in the Germantown, East Memphis, Cordova and Collierville communities.
In June 2018, Iota Lambda Sigma was designated a Ruby Chapter by the International Headquarters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The Ruby designation signifies having, at least, twenty-two financially active members. As of February 2023, ILS is currently home to 43 sorors.
