History

On Saturday, June 29, 2002, nine sorors were granted the charter for the Iota Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter in the Southeastern Region.


The following phenomenal sorors saw the opportunity to further the reach of Sigma Gamma Rho and its commitment to serve the community by expanding the sorority into Germantown, TN:

Soror Doris Holt, Esq., Soror Stephanie Sumlar, Soror Rochelle Pearson,
Soror Barbara Hampton-Franseen, Ph.D., Soror Anna Wilson, Soror Johnnie Donald, Soror Denean Carr. Soror Kimberly Sumlar Saddler and 
Soror Sophia Atkins.

Our chapter members are a diverse group

of professional women who are passionate

about changing the outlook of the

communities we are called to serve.


  Since our founding in 2002, the

Iota Lambda Sigma Chapter strives for

the betterment of our various communities.

We hope that you can see the effort
